MAKING MAKER'S BOOKS COMMUNITY FOCUSED

Now isn't that a tongue twister.

This World Book Day (which wonderfully also happens to fall during Women's Month) we're showing some love for London's favourite independent shoe design school, I Can Make Shoes.

A female run shoe school that uses the art of making to encourage people to explore new careers, create sustainable fashion businesses, meet new people in an open and encouraging space, explore creativity and relax from the stresses of every day life through making.

Their first ever hardback book, was launched to celebrate their 10th Anniversary and the team founder, Amanda Overs has created showcases the power of awesome women empowering other women to be awesome.


Last autumn the campaign for this book launch was such a pleasure to direct, and with everything from a month long influencer and maker community celebration on Instagram, to a launch party in the heart of East London - it was all about celebrating a community of makers around the world and the amount of great brand collaborations that came together to celebrate the event and book launch was amazing to see.


When it comes to making maker's marketing a success it's all about getting the offline and online to work in harmony. We're probably going to write a whole blog and case study on that alone, but for now we just want to join in celebrating all the amazing books being shared today.
